Risk, return and business activity are connected. Consequently, the most important decisions of an administrative body concern the future: it has the duty to guide the company amidst the stability, volatility, complexity and uncertainty of the context in which it operates, assuming macroeconomic, strategic, financial, operational and compliance. A widespread and shared culture of risk, together with a culture of control, legality and corporate values, are therefore the key factors for long-term success. Good Governance – which also includes the strategy and tactics to deal with any state of crisis – and a good Internal Control System are the fundamental elements that guarantee both full awareness and effective supervision.
